About the studio

Square Studio is a bright, private natural light photography studio in Roswell, GA, owned by two photographers who truly understand the magic of great light. Located in a charming historic building just outside Atlanta, our studio was intentionally designed to capture and enhance beautiful natural light throughout the day.

The studio now features two thoughtfully designed suites — Suite A and Suite B — located right next door to each other, giving photographers and creators flexible options depending on the type of shoot they’re planning. Both spaces are filled with soft, natural light and designed to support a variety of sessions including family portraits, branding shoots, content creation, maternity, newborn sessions, and more.

Square Studio provides a comfortable, professional environment for photographers, creatives, and small productions looking for a natural light studio rental in the Roswell / North Atlanta area.

To ensure proper scheduling and setup, we ask that photographers and creators reserve the studio for their sessions rather than having clients book directly.

STUDIO A

Studio A is our larger natural light studio in Roswell, GA, designed for photographers and creators who want a flexible space to build and customize their shoot. Studio A is one large space, and features beautiful vintage hardwood floors, clean white walls, wooden counter space, and large windows that fill the space with soft natural light throughout the day, making it ideal for photography, content creation, branding sessions, and workshops.

This suite offers more room to create, including seamless paper backdrop options, a rolling wall for flexible setups, and space for seasonal sets or styled productions, and wooden counter space. Whether you’re photographing families, hosting a branding shoot, capturing lifestyle content, or creating a styled editorial, Suite A provides a versatile environment while still maintaining the bright, natural look Square Studio is known for.

Photographers love Studio A for its combination of character and flexibility — the warmth of the hardwood floors paired with bright walls and natural light makes it a perfect setting for everything from family portraits to creative content shoots.

STUDIO B

Studio B is our signature all-white natural light studio, designed for clean, timeless imagery and light-filled content creation. This bright studio features white walls, a white shooting space, and large windows that flood the room with soft natural light, creating a simple and minimal backdrop that works beautifully for portraits, branding sessions, newborn photography, and lifestyle shoots. There is also a separate room attached that photographers use as a waiting area that features a comfortable environment.

The all-white design allows the light to reflect beautifully throughout the space, making Studio B especially popular for family photography, maternity sessions, newborn sessions, and modern brand content. The clean aesthetic keeps the focus on your subject while giving photographers a bright, airy environment to work in.

Square Studio is located in the heart of historic Downtown Roswell, just steps from the iconic Roswell Square, Barrington Hall, and Roswell Mill. Both Studio A and Studio A are tucked inside a single beautifully aged brick building, the space is rich with charm and character—an elegant canvas for your creative vision. It’s a perfect location if you’re wanting to shoot indoor white studio look, but also maybe venture outdoor to capture the golden hour glow as well.

Surrounded by walkable amenities, the studio offers easy access to a thoughtfully curated mix of local favorites, including a craft coffee house, a refined taproom, a clean-eating lunch spot, and a variety of boutique shops and restaurants.

Square Studio was thoughtfully designed by photographers, for photographers. This isn’t just a rental space — it’s our own creative home where we photograph our clients every week. We love the light, the warmth, and the energy here so much that we wanted to make it available to other photographers and creatives when we aren’t using it ourselves.

Born from a shared vision, the studio was created to be a clean, natural-light-filled environment where creativity can thrive. With a deep understanding of how light transforms an image — and how important it is to feel inspired in your workspace — we poured intention into every detail. From the seamless paper backdrops to the cozy sitting area, every corner was designed to make it easy for you to show up, feel at home, and create your best work.

As a mom with four young kiddos, what started as Jacey’s passion for photographing her own children blossomed into a thriving business. Families are drawn to Jacey’s gift for capturing those sweet candid moments when the personalities of her subjects really shine through. Jacey has been shooting at Square Studio for over 7 years, and this space truly is her second home. Serving clients throughout north metro Atlanta, she helps families preserve cherished memories – from newborn to high school graduation, and all the precious milestones that come in between. Sarah has been a photographer for over eight years, beginning her journey in weddings before finding her passion in family and lifestyle newborn photography. As a local to the area and a mom herself, she brings a warm, playful energy to every session. Outside of family work, she has a deep love for editorial-style photography. FAQs

You will have access to the specific studio you have booked, with designated amenities and posing furniture inside. Seamless paper backdrops are available for an additional $25 fee in both studio spaces. You’ll also enjoy our amazing natural light and close proximity to Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall, and Roswell Square — perfect for combining studio and outdoor sessions (please note: the City of Roswell requires a permit for outdoor photography on city property)
Each studio rentals start at a 1-hour minimum ($100/hr.). Minis (6+ people) are $125/hr.
- Need more time? Additional 30 minutes can be added for $50.
- Special rates are available for half-day (4+ hours) and full-day rentals.
- Please inquire about special event hosting.
- If you or your clients run late, extra time may be added on-site if the schedule allows.
Yes. Please bring your own camera, lighting, and gear. We do have sandbags and light stands available by request — let us know in advance if you’d like to use them so we can set them out for you. The studio has beautiful natural light throughout the day, but you’re welcome to use your own strobes/continuous lights as needed.
Yes! Please note there is no elevator and the studio is located one flight of stairs up. Be mindful when moving furniture to avoid scuffing floors or walls. Rental time includes setup and breakdown, so please plan accordingly. If you need additional time for setup/cleanup, extra time can be added to your booking.
Yes! You’re welcome to use the furniture and tables in the space. We just ask that you move items carefully, return everything to its original place before you leave, and be mindful of our original hardwood floors. Since we’re always updating and adding new pieces, the layout and furniture may change over time — feel free to get creative while respecting the space!
Both studios are up one flight of stairs (no elevator). Once inside, the spaces are all one level. Suite A is one room, and Suite B has a smaller waiting area attached to the white studio space.
Yes! Free parking is available directly outside of the building - there are several free public lots within walking distance.
Lighting shifts throughout the year. We’ll share current light patterns on our Instagram and let you know if your requested time isn’t ideal for natural light. Generally, the studio photographs beautifully from sun-up to sun-down.
Please fill out the form below. We’ll confirm availability and send an invoice. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your rental.
Studio rentals are non-refundable. One reschedule is allowed with at least 72 hours’ notice, subject to availability. The new date must be booked within 3 months. If the studio must cancel for any reason, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
The space works beautifully for newborn, family, boudoir, headshots, branding, maternity, engagement, and creative sessions.
Yes! We kindly ask that you leave the studio as you found it so the next creative can enjoy a clean space. This means resetting furniture, removing props, disposing of trash, and sweeping up anything extra (like confetti or glitter). For cake smashes, please bring something to place under the cake to protect the floors — icing loves to sneak into the cracks! Thank you for helping us keep the studio beautiful for everyone.
